California Proposition 65 Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 Statement
California Proposition 65 Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 states that products containing substances known to the State of California to cause cancer or birth defects or other reproductive harm must be accompanied by an appropriate warning to the consumer. The list of substances is maintained by the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA).
