What parts are available for the Start-All® Jump-Pack 12V and 12/24V series?
Replacement parts vary by model. The JP-12-24, JP-12-10000, and JP-12-5000 share several common accessories including the wall charger (279731), auxiliary port charger (279779), safety strap (279851), and carabiner (279852). The JP-12-10000 and JP-12-5000 also include a carrying case (279778). The JP-12-2500 uses voltage-specific chargers (280286 or 283159 for wall charging; 280285 or 283160 for auxiliary port charging) depending on whether your unit is a 15VDC or 18VDC variant.
How do I find the correct part number for my Jump-Pack?
Locate your machine number on the label affixed to your unit, then match it to the parts table for that model on this page. The four machine numbers in this series are JP-12-24, JP-12-10000, JP-12-5000, and JP-12-2500. For the 2500A, also check the voltage decal on the bottom of the unit before ordering a charger. If you are unsure, Vanair® support can confirm the right part by machine number.
Can I use the same replacement parts across multiple Start-All® Jump-Pack models?
Some accessories — including the safety strap (279851), carabiner (279852), and 3-in-1 USB cable (279732) — are shared across multiple models. However, charger part numbers differ by model and, on the 2500A, by internal voltage. Using an incorrect charger can damage the battery management system or void the warranty. Always confirm by machine number before ordering any charging component.
Does the Start-All® Jump-Pack warranty cover replacement accessories?
The Start-All® Jump-Pack carries a one-year limited warranty on the unit itself. Replacement accessories — including chargers, cables, safety straps, and carabiners — are not covered under the unit warranty when purchased separately as replacement parts. However, accessories that ship with a new unit are covered for the same one-year period as the unit. Contact Vanair® support for warranty claim questions on a specific component.
How often should I replace the wall charger or auxiliary port charger on a Jump-Pack?
Vanair® does not publish a fixed replacement interval for chargers, but the most common indicators that a charger needs replacing are: failure to initiate a charge cycle, visible damage to the cable or connector, or a unit that no longer reaches full charge after a normal charge period. In fleet environments where units are charged daily, inspecting charger cables and connectors at each preventive maintenance interval is a practical baseline. Using only OEM replacement chargers (see part numbers above) ensures continued compatibility with the Protect-All® battery management system.
Can the JP-12-24 jump-start 24V systems, and does that require different accessories?
Yes. The JP-12-24 is the only model in the Start-All® Jump-Pack series with native 24V output, delivering up to 5,000 peak amps at 24V for diesel engines found in Class 8 trucks, buses, and heavy equipment. No additional accessories are required to jump-start a 24V system — the unit switches between 12V and 24V output via the onboard controls. The optional connector kits (NATO, Anderson, SAE J1283) are available for vehicles that use non-standard connection points and are compatible with both 12V and 24V jump-starting operations.
