[Guide] Why Use Genuine Vanair® Parts | OEM Replacement Parts & Maintenance Kits

Vanair® specifies genuine OEM parts and approved compressor fluid in all maintenance documentation. This is not a formality. The components in Vanair® maintenance kits are engineered to the exact tolerances of the underdeck system, and substituting generic alternatives introduces risk at multiple points.

• Warranty compliance: Using non-genuine parts or non-approved fluids can void warranty coverage on the compressor system.
• Separator life: The air-oil separator element is calibrated to the system’s airflow and pressure characteristics. An off-spec element can fail prematurely and allow oil carry-over into the discharge air.
• Filter fit: Generic filter elements may have the correct thread pattern but incorrect bypass pressure ratings, allowing unfiltered oil to circulate under high-load conditions.
• Fluid viscosity: Vanguard™-approved compressor oil is formulated for the operating temperature range of PTO-driven underdeck systems. Standard motor oil or generic air compressor oil does not meet those specifications.

The cost of a wrong part far exceeds the cost of the right one. A separator element failure that goes undetected can contaminate downstream tools and equipment, and a compressor running on incorrect fluid will show accelerated wear within a single service interval.
