Question: What feature do you like most about the Vanair® PTO Underdeck System?
Answer: It’s all revolutionary, and it’s also like a fail-safe system. It’s all one unit, as opposed to having lines and pipes… It’s self-contained. One feature I really like is that it’s hidden – nothing extra on top of the truck or on the side of the truck.
Q: What are your thoughts about the maintenance and repair of this system?
A: Honestly, the [Vanair® PTO Underdeck Systems] have not failed, so we haven’t had to go in and do anything other than maintenance. But the one time or twice that something’s happened to me, where I was scratching my head for a little bit, was when I had a system shutting down. And after calling Vanair®, we figured it out. After that, it’s been about a year – no issues.
Q: What has been your past experience with Vanair® Systems?
A: I’ve worked in several cities for about five years now. In those cities, we’ve always had a Vanair® system. It’s something that the cities purchase – government purchases – and they’re obviously effective because every fleet in those cities has had at least two units with a Vanair® system. That’s just the way to go from now on.
