Both light-duty and heavy-duty applications alike are increasingly in search of electrifying operations, while still maintaining (or improving) the efficiency of their traditional gas- or diesel-powered resources. Such applications can look to EPEQ® Electrified Power Equipment® as a solution to this problem – from small service vans, to class 8 trucking, to mining operations, and so much more.

The EPEQ® product line consists of a comprehensive, end-to-end, zero-emission system. At the heart of EPEQ® is the ELiMENT® 48V Battery designed with lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) and the EPEQ® Smart Display, which monitors and controls the ELiMENT® Battery and other EPEQ® components for easy operation.

 

12V Power for Light-Duty Applications

Even the smallest work vehicles can rely on EPEQ® for 12V power, including ELiMENT® Batteries and EPEQ® Inverters. This setup is suitable for light-duty vans, delivery vehicles, and custom-upfitted service vehicles that require auxiliary power, but don’t need higher-capacity, 48V power. The ELiMENT® batteries are available in 100Ah, 200Ah, and 300Ah configurations. The inverters come in 1000W, 2000W, and 3000W configurations. These options allow for maximum scalability and fit to different light-duty service vehicle fleets.

By supporting light-duty fleets, the ELiMENT® batteries are a dedicated and isolated power source. They help prevent auxiliary loads from depleting the vehicle’s starting battery. The EPEQ® Inverters allow 12V DC battery power to be used as clean, reliable 120V pure sine wave power. These inverters power sensitive electronics and handle demanding power loads. Fleets are able to charge cordless tools, run lighting, power laptops and tablets, and operate 120V devices without idling their vehicle’s engine.

 

Reliable, Heavy-Duty 48V Power

Large service vehicles, such as mobile maintenance trucks for mining, municipalities, etc., often require 48V power for key job functions. As the cornerstone of EPEQ® Electrified Power Equipment®, the EPEQ® Power Center™ is a 48V core power module. It provides the power and connection needed to power EPEQ®-driven accessories, including EPEQ® Air Compressors and the EPEQ® EPTO Hydraulic System. It’s configurable with or without a protective canopy and can fit in truck beds, van shelves, or virtually any vehicle configuration. This system contains:

• • ELiMENT® 48V batteries – built for real-world conditions in an IP67-rated design.
  • EPEQ® inverters – strong enough to handle demaning motor loads and available in in 1,000W, 2,000W, or 3,000W models.
  • EPEQ® DC-DC converters – auxiliary power to keep the lights on with the engine off.
  • EPEQ® shore power charging – allows your vehicle’s standard 12V charge system to operate 48V EPEQ® equipment.

 

The Supplemental Source Powered by Nature

Range anxiety is a fair concern for fleets that are searching for reliable electrification. To combat this issue, the EPEQ® Solar Assist™ was designed as a supplemental power source to prevent batteries from losing power and reduce downtime. This patented solar panel is flexible and engineered specifically for work truck applications. Using a patent-pending, equipment-mounted solar architecture, it can be applied directly onto machinery, on top of semi-truck air deflectors, and other components, without sacrificing valuable weight or space.

Suitable for both the 12V and 48V EPEQ® lines, it offers auxiliary charging and can be used as a continuous battery tender to help improve the longevity of your battery. The Solar Assist™ allows operators to continue depending on their battery’s power for telematics, GPS, sensors, security systems, and onboard electronics without having to leave their vehicle’s engine on. Being able to depend on their batteries can ensure that they will not have to risk downtime to reduce wear and tear on their vehicle’s engine.
